Mainstream, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-political organization dedicated to assisting persons and organizations that provide human development and enrichment services. Mainstream, Inc. operates a nonprofit association with members in Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska.
 
Committed to ethical and effective performance in all aspects of work, Mainstream provides quality service and develops creative approaches to project management and consultation in the areas of organizational planning, grant writing, and fund raising.
 
Mainstream, Inc.
  • is a source of expertise and information; assists agencies to be more accountable, credible, and effective; and
  • demonstrates capacity-building in the provision of services to others;
  • is an innovative, supportive organization that strives to serve a broad range of nonprofit organizations, government agencies and individuals;

 

Nonprofit Organizations:  Mainstream supports nonprofit organizations by providing assistance that can range from a few hours to as long as a few years including:

-individualized attention to meet a specific need,
-quick response to requests for assistance, and
-consultants that have knowledge of nonprofit business.
 

Government Agencies:  Mainstream has long been a support organization for government agencies through:

-diversified expertise in training, program management, research and writing,
-assistance with plans for an existing programs, and
-development of new programs.
 

Individuals:  Mainstream has provided training sessions for individuals since 1986 which include:

-training topics selected for a group such as human service professionals, nonprofit administrators, board members, and resource development personnel,
-practical and useful information and techniques selected specifically for each training session,
timely training topics including grant writing, fund raising, and board development, and
-continuing education units for social workers as an approved provider, certificates of attendance for other disciplines, and retention of records of attendance for future reference.

Technical Assistance

Technical Assistance provides a brief response to a question or a request for information regarding nonprofits that does not require extensive research.  This free service is available to Non Profit Association members, nonmembers, and people interested in starting a nonprofit.
