Training
The Following types of training are fee based and can be tailored to meet the needs of the audience.
Workshops
Topics are selected to provide information that can easily be assimilated into the daily tasks of attendees. Workshops generally are a 3-hour or 6-hour time span. Presenters utilize interactive techniques with supportive hand-outs.
In-Service Training
The contracting organization specifies a topic before content is prepared. In-service training is tailored to the needs of the contracting organization and offered at a time convenient to the contracting agency.
Continuing Education Units
Mainstream is an approved provider for social work continuing education units and certified by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board. Training opportunities are available for social workers, case managers, counselors, and psychologists. For professionals seeking continuing education units, certificates of attendance are provided that include contact hours and the training topic. Mainstream also can provide opportunities for certification of an agency’s employees at the agency’s site.
Conference Coordination
Foundations and government agencies contract with Mainstream to provide pre-determined conference topics for targeted audiences. Mainstream coordinates all facets of the intended conference: planning, scheduling, pre-registration, on-site management, financial oversight, and post-conference evaluation.
Leadership Forums
Short informative meetings designed for discussion of timely topics related to nonprofit management are also offered. Forum leaders represent specialized professions as well as the public domain, nonprofit managers and board members, and/or corporate world. The presentations are informal with strong emphasis on opportunities for discussion and a question/answer session.
